Virtual and Mobile Work Research Unit
This research unit was established in 2001 and studies the social aspects of new ways of working enabled by collaborative working environments. New ways of working refer to emerging forms of flexible organizations such as multi-locational mobile work and distributed teams and projects collaborating from afar. We are studying these organizational forms on individual, group and organizational levels aiming at understanding the impact of their structural factors, internal processes and varying contexts on their outcomes.
